Some of the things I’ve done to get over you

Scorching sex with random strangers.
Far too many cigarettes.
It seemed a sensible exchange
To swap you for some fresh regrets.
It wasn’t till the statements came
I saw I’d added to my debt
And kindling an aimless flame
Had rendered me a silhouette.

Some of the things I have done to get over you is a project gathering first-person testimony for a theatre installation.
